A Cassette AC is ideal for installation in offices, showrooms, restaurants, bars, large halls, conference rooms, hotel lobbies, startups, drawing/living room in homes, grocery stores, shops, warehouses, office area in factories, clinics, nursing homes, fitness centers, Yoga studios, Gyms, etc. The cassette air conditioner is typically installed in false ceilings, and therefore, only the console is visible. The rest of the machine, piping, insulation, drain work goes inside the false ceiling. Therefore, a cassette AC is hardly visible to the eye making it the most aesthetic air conditioning unit for commercial as well as residential buildings. A typical cassette AC comprises an indoor unit and an outdoor unit. As the name suggests, the outdoor unit comprises compressor and condenser coil and it is placed outside either in the balcony or corridor or open area. Whereas the indoor unit comprises the expansion valve and evaporator coil and it is mounted indoors under the false ceiling. In the indoor unit of a cassette AC, there is a central grid grill section, an air filter, a coil, and the side flaps. The indoor air is sucked through the central grid section. After that, the air passes through the air filter, and then this clean air passes through the coil wherein the air is cooled, thereafter, this conditioned cool air is distributed back to the room through side flaps. The heat collected by the refrigerant in the coil evaporates the refrigerant and then it goes to a compressor placed in the outdoor unit and thereafter the refrigerant passes through the condensing coil and loses heat and then the refrigerant again comes back to the indoor unit via the expansion valve. This is how the refrigerant flows in a closed loop in a cassette AC. Cassette air conditioner is also termed as ceiling cassette or ceiling cassette air conditioner because it is primarily located in the false ceiling.

And lastly, the drain pipe is laid out for the smooth discharge of water.
Refrigerant:
R-410 A and R-32 are the two major refrigerants that are mostly used in the cassette air conditioners.
