As the name suggests, a ball valve has a ball mechanism to modulate the fluid flow. A ball valve is used extensively in an HVAC system especially while connecting the air handling units and fan coil units to the chiller plant via the chilled water piping work. When the lever is open, the ball is in line with flow inlet thereby allowing chilled water to flow to AHUs and FCUs. And when the lever is at 90 degrees, the ball blocks the flow of water to AHUs and FCUs.
The Ball Valve series offers nine types of valves, designed for various industrial needs. These robust three-piece designs, Class-150 ratings, and high-pressure capabilities ensure reliable flow control, corrosion resistance, and precision in industries like oil, gas, and water treatment. These 9 types of Ball valves are mentioned below. Call for pricing. Ball valves are used regularly in an HVAC system.
