Air Handling Unit AHU - Zeco Aircon

Based on the selection of number of rows of coil, static pressure, airflow in CFM, and Fan Type, the technical details of an AHU are generated including the number of fans, fan diameter, velocity, RPM, motor rating (KW), shaft absorbing power, Coil area, filter area.

Construction of an AHU Unit

1. DOUBLE SKIN CASING:

• Outer Skin 0.6 to 0.8 mm Pre- Coated GI
• Inner Skin 0.6 to 0.8 mm Plain GI
• FrameWork Hollow Extruded AL Profile or Thermal Break AL Profile with Thermal Barrier.
• Thickness of Insulated Panels 25 mm thick, 43 mm thick to 46 mm thick, CFC Free PUF injected (Density: 40 kg / Cu. m.)
• Material of Drain Pan 18 G to 20 G SS-304 Tray duly insulated with 13 mm closed cell Nitrile insulation. Sometimes Drain pan can be made in two stages 18 G SS-304 as primary Tray and 24 GI as secondary tray duly insulated with 25 mm closed cell PUF insulation.
• Unit Base G.S.S Base Channel

2. COIL Section:

• Coil Make - ZECO
• Coil Casing / Blank offs GI
• Material Of Tube Copper
• Tube Diameter (mm / inch) 12.7 mm / ½” O.D.
• Thickness of tube (SWG / mm) 27 SWG / 0.41 mm to 25 SWG / 0.5 mm
• Header Material MS
• Thickness & Material of fins 0.15 mm Plain Aluminum fins
• Number of Fins in one inch (FPI) 11 / 12

3. FILTERS:

• Filters Make - Spectrum / Thermadyne / Mechmaark / Puramatic
• Media of Filters Synthetic (non-woven type)
• Efficiency of Pre-filters (EU-4) 90 % down to 10 micron.
• Additional filters such as Bag/Fine filter, HEPA filters can be chosen.

4. FAN & MOTOR:

• Fan make Kruger / Nicotra / Equivalent
• Motor make ABB / BHARAT BIJLEE

A standard DOUBLE SKIN FLOOR MOUNTED FRESH AIR UNIT SHALL HAVE:  

• Intake section with manually operated FA damper (with 1 sq. ft. (EU-3) on FA damper) in Al construction.  
• Filter section comprises 50 mm thick (EU-4) pre filter (box type).  
• Fan section with direct driven centrifugal backward curved plug fan & Motor (IE-2).  
• Fine filter section is also an option. 305 mm thick (EU-7) fine filter (flange type).  
• Manually operated SA damper in Al construction.
• The face velocity across the filter & coil has been considered 500 FPM.
